The Carer Gateway is a national phone and website service developed by the Department of Social Services (DSS) to provide practical information about services and support for carers. DSS has commissioned AMR, a research agency, to assess the current awareness of the Carer Gateway service from carers across Australia. This research is the second wave of an ongoing project, which will give carers across the country the chance to have their say on how they find out about information, services and support.

AMR takes its obligations under the Australian Privacy Principles (APP) and the Australian Market & Social Research Society's Code of Professional Behaviour very seriously, and it guarantees that any personally identifiable information will not be provided to any other party without respondents’ consent. Further, AMR makes all reasonable efforts to protect personal information we hold from misuse, interference and loss, from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. All data is stored securely and protected by restricted access to networks and systems as well as the physical location. In accordance with industry guidelines all personally identifiable respondent information is destroyed 6 months after the completion of the relevant research project.
